Can someone please explain to me how the folks at Fox News are still in business? Specifically, why are Fox & Friends not languishing in jail? The Supreme Court ruled many years ago (1919) that our First Amendment rights do not trump public safety. Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr’s familiarly famous opinion made it clear that we can’t yell, “FIRE!” in a crowded building. But isn’t what Fox is doing essentially the flip side of that same coin?
Let’s be clear, freedom of speech has it’s limits. Fox and all the other conservative Republican venomous snakes have the right to spread lies, kiss Trump’s shiny white ass, or even hop in bed with the Russians. But they don’t have the right to promote viral infection. And when they do, they are breaking the law.
The COVID-19 corona virus is a pandemic of global proportions. Many have died, and are continuing to die all around the world. The World Health Organization, the Center for Disease Control, the Academy of Sciences, and every reputable doctor on the planet has said we must self-isolate and practice social distancing in order not to overwhelm our hospitals and to save lives. This strategy has proven effective wherever it was strictly enforced, like Taiwan and New Zealand. And those countries who didn’t follow this public imperative to stay the fuck home are experiencing a horrific shit storm. This isn’t a matter of opinion. This is a grab you by the throat, kick you in the balls, life and death, fact.
Meanwhile, over on Fox News, they are telling people that COVID-19 is all a liberal media scam to make Terrible Trump look bad. They are recommending that people travel, dine out, and live their lives like they would normally do. The same people who made up the shameful lie that Obamacare would authorize death panels, are now singing the ridiculous refrain that the economy is more important than a disease no worse than the seasonal flu, and that older folks should be proud to sacrifice their lives for the stock market. Apparently volunteering for World War II, Korea, and Vietnam still isn’t quite enough.
In other words, they are telling their viewers, whose average age is 67 — the folks most likely to catch the virus and die — to not only endanger their own lives, but also anyone else they might come in contact with, like their children. It’s sort of like telling people who have HIV to engage in unprotected sex, only it’s worse because in this case, their viewers can be asymptomatic and not show any signs of the disease. Frankly, it’s hard for me to imagine a more pathologically sick and dangerous approach to life and death. And yet somehow it is allowed.
How can such perilous and patently evil behavior be tolerated? Why hasn’t some powerful group like the American Medical Association sued the crap out of Fox News and Rush Limbaugh? What has happened to my country? Have we lost the ability to determine right from wrong, even when our lives are at stake?
Clearly, we have become so used to the constant stream of bullshit emanating from Fox News that this obvious threat to our lives goes unchecked — or even challenged. And ironically, if this was Russia, the Fox News team could be jailed for up to five years for distributing “fake news” about the virus.
So, it’s up to us, the American consumer to make Fox pay.

I am also including a link to their individual websites, so you can tell them you intend to boycott their products until they stop doing business on Fox News. This will only work if you notify the Fox business pimps that you plan to wage war on their bottom line.
